BOULDERING IN TUCSON is a unique and rewarding experience. From the volcanic boulders scattered around the Sonoran Desert to the granite blocs in the Sky Islands and the water polished gneiss littering streambeds in the foothills of the Catalinas, we have a variety of options depending on the season and our mood. Tucson may not be a destination area for bouldering, but there is plenty to keep the locals busy, and a handful of worthy areas for a climber passing through town.
| BOULDERINGTUCSON.COM was created to help people find new areas to boulder, motivating people to get outside and climb, and trying to encourage everyone to continue exploring and seeking out new boulders and lines. I hope to keep adding new information, photos and media slowly over time, but am always looking for ideas and submissions from anyone in the community. Thanks to all that have contributed so far, and stay tuned as the site continues to develop. Happy climbing! |

"I wondered what would happen if I just climbed as if I were
going to make it, with no uncertainty in my mind whatsoever.
Just climbed and climbed until gravity tore me from the holds."
